Description

You will design, implement, and manage SQL Server database infrastructure to ensure security, scalability, and high availability.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain complex SQL Server database models, schemas, and indexing strategies.
• Optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and execution plans using SQL Profiler, Extended Events, and DMVs.
• Manage database deployments through CI/CD pipelines and integrate them with front-end and back-end systems.
• Administer SQL Server instances across on-premises and cloud environments, including security, RBAC, and encryption.
• Implement and test high-availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions, including backup and retention policies.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience as a Database Engineer or Administrator specializing in SQL Server.
• Deep expertise in SQL Server 2016, 2019, and 2022.
• Advanced T-SQL scripting and query optimization skills.
• Proven experience with indexing, partitioning, and performance tuning.
• Proficiency with PowerShell or other automation tools for database tasks.
• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines for database deployments, such as Redgate.
• Hands-on knowledge of high-availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) architectures.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud-based SQL Server solutions like AWS RDS.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Redis.
