Description

You will own the design, performance, and maintenance of critical database systems.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Tune and optimize performance for MySQL and Oracle databases in enterprise settings.
• Implement and manage backup, recovery, and replication strategies for high availability.
• Design and maintain data models following normalization principles.
• Script database operations and manage environments within Unix/Linux systems.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience with MySQL and Oracle Databases.
• Expert proficiency in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
• Strong capability in SQL, stored procedures, and indexing.
• Deep understanding of data modeling and relational database design.
• Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting.
• Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
