Description

You own the administration, performance, and high availability of complex database environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure Microsoft SQL Server instances and tools including SSMS, SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS.
• Manage SQL Server clustering, replication, and high availability solutions.
• Monitor and maintain database performance, integrity, and security across Oracle and SQL Server.
• Plan and execute database upgrades, patches, and migrations, including on-premises to Azure transitions.
• Troubleshoot database errors, bottlenecks, and optimize query execution plans.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration for SQL Server and Oracle.
• Expertise in SQL Server versions (2012-2019) and Oracle database administration.
• Proficiency with SQL Cluster, Always-On Cluster, and On-premises to Azure Migration patterns.
• Experience managing Oracle RAC, Oracle Enterprise Manager, RMAN backups, and Oracle Data Guard.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Managed Instance and Transparent Data Encryption (TDE).
• Familiarity with Linux shell scripting and AWS RDS/EC2 database operations.
• Ability to analyze SQL execution plans and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Experience managing database security, including TDE and STIG compliance.

Preferred Skills

• Certification as Oracle and SQL Certified is required.
