Description

You will manage the security and compliance of database environments to protect sensitive data and align with cyber risk management strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the security and compliance of database environments and provide guidance for external environments containing sensitive data.
  • Implement security policies and manage database compliance through hands-on technical work.
  • Collaborate with legal and various internal teams on contracts review, governance, and compliance workflows.
  • Align database configurations with industry standards and organizational risk management strategies.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in database administration, IT security compliance, or risk management.
  • Proficiency with Oracle and Microsoft SQL database servers.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Experience with shell script programming.
  • Knowledge of industry standards including CIS Benchmarks, CIS Controls, GDPR, ISO 27001, and NIST 800-53.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Technical experience with MySQL.
