Description

You will lead the migration of a 20TB SQL Server data warehouse to Databricks, redesigning legacy ETL and cube-based architectures into modern Lakehouse patterns.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Migrate hundreds of tables and thousands of SSIS jobs to Databricks, defining data modeling standards and ingestion frameworks.
• Replace SSIS-based ETL with modern Spark-based pipelines and optimize workloads for performance and scalability.
• Architect migration strategies for complex reporting workloads and define transformation best practices.
• Mentor data engineers and partner with BI, analytics, and AI/ML teams to enable advanced use cases.

Required Skills

• 8-12 years of overall data engineering experience, with 5+ years on production Databricks workloads.
• Proven leadership in migrating enterprise SQL Server data warehouses to cloud platforms.
• Strong proficiency in Databricks, PySpark, SQL, and AWS.
• Experience with Data Engineering, ETL, Data Pipelines, and CI/CD.
• Technical leadership and data modeling expertise.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
