Description

Akkodis is seeking a highly skilled Senior DataOps / Cloud Data Engineer to support the design, development, and optimization of enterprise-scale data solutions within a complex and regulated environment. The successful consultant will work across the full data lifecycle, enabling scalable data pipelines, modern lakehouse architectures, and cloud-based data platforms while ensuring reliability, performance, and compliance.

Scope

Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines

Build and optimize complex data transformation workflows

Develop and maintain data models for data warehouses and lakehouse solutions

Work with structured and unstructured data across multiple platforms and storage systems.

Assignment Deliverables

Implementation of end-to-end data pipelines using tools such as Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and AWS Glue

Development of high-quality data models supporting analytics and reporting

Automated workflows for data ingestion, transformation, and delivery

Documentation and support for data architecture, pipelines, and processes.

Expertise Required

Must Have:

Strong experience in data engineering using Python (pandas, PySpark) and SQL

Hands-on experience with Databricks (Delta Lake) and modern lakehouse architectures

Experience working with XLSX, CSV, JSON, relational databases, cloud storage, and structured/unstructured data

Experience with AWS services such as Glue, Step Functions, Lambda, and S3

Experience in ETL/ELT processes using tools such as Informatica IDMC, Azure Data Factory, or AWS Glue.

Nice to Have:

Experience integrating BI/reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau

Familiarity with DevOps/DataOps practices in cloud environments

Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates).
