Key Responsibilities

Administer Db2 databases, including design, build, migration, performance tuning, backup, and recovery.

Support Db2/Db2U on OpenShift, including deployments, storage, and basic monitoring.

Assist with data migration from existing cDB2 environments to Db2 on OpenShift.

Work closely with application, platform, and infrastructure teams throughout the migration.

Configure and manage database jobs and maintenance using CRON, ESP, or similar scheduling tools.

Troubleshoot database performance, availability, and stability issues across database and platform layers.

Support database modernization and migration activities while maintaining reliability and performance.

Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications

7+ years of experience as a Db2 DBA.

Strong experience with Db2 z/OS and/or Db2 LUW.

Hands-on experience running Db2/Db2U on OpenShift or Kubernetes.

Strong SQL and Db2 performance tuning skills.

Hands-on experience with CRON and ESP or similar scheduling tools.

Experience with database backup, restore, migration, and troubleshooting.

Strong communication, collaboration, and technical documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with IBM Q Replication (QREP) for Db2.

Experience supporting large-scale database migrations or modernization projects.

Experience working with enterprise applications in containerized environments.

Familiarity with OpenShift platform operations and troubleshooting
