Description

You will manage database architecture and deployment while supporting the migration from on-premises environments to AWS.

Responsibilities

• Execute architectural modifications to database structures in collaboration with QA and Data teams.
• Set up, configure, and optimize MySQL and MS SQL Server databases.
• Manage database recovery, backup procedures, and Azure blob storage for data retention.
• Configure and monitor SQL Server Availability Groups and implement MySQL/SQL Server replication.
• Oversee database security through regular server and database access audits.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience as a Database Administrator.
• 7+ years of expertise administering SQL Server databases, specifically versions 2014 to 2017.
• 3+ years of experience managing MySQL databases.
• Comprehensive understanding of SQL Server Availability Groups.
• Familiarity with MySQL clustering.
• Proven experience providing round-the-clock production environment support.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Ability to provide 3-4+ hours of overlap with the PST time zone.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Linux subsystems, RDS, and AWS.
