Description

You will manage and architect relational databases within an enterprise data center environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and design databases using proper architectural principles.
• Manage database auditing, including user setup and permission controls.
• Maintain database operations within Unix-based environments.
• Support data warehouse technology in a production environment.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience as a DBA in an enterprise data center environment (10+ years if no degree).
• Proficiency with at least three of: DB2, Netezza, or Postgres.
• Solid understanding of relational database constructs and SQL.
• Experience working in Unix-based environments with SQL servers.
• Knowledge of AIX and Red Hat.
• Experience with database auditing and permission controls.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Oracle or SQL Server.
• Shell scripting and backup scripting experience.
• Practical experience supporting a large enterprise data warehouse using Netezza or comparable technology.
