Description

You will own the development, maintenance, and enhancement of complex insurance and underwriting applications using Delphi.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements to design and implement effective software solutions.
• Write efficient code, debug applications, and resolve complex performance, memory leak, and scalability issues.
• Integrate applications with RDBMS and maintain legacy systems.
• Participate in analysis and design within an Agile/Scaled Agile framework.
• Manage product versions, documentation, and development standards.

Required Skills

• 10-12 years of expert-level software development experience in Delphi (versions 7 through XE10).
• Proficiency with Delphi IDE (RAD), VCL, Console apps, DUnit, XML, and Web Services.
• Strong understanding of OOPS concepts, COM, and ODBC.
• Expertise in RDBMS, specifically Oracle and/or MS-SQL Server.
• Experience developing Client/Server applications, specifically with IIS.
• Working knowledge of version control systems such as Git, BitBucket, or Mercurial.
• Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Proficiency with DevExpress and Woll2Woll components.

Preferred Skills

• Intermediate experience with Java.
