Description

Design, develop, and deploy RESTful APIs using IBM z/OS Connect Enterprise Edition to expose mainframe assets.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Expose mainframe assets (CICS, IMS, COBOL, DB2) as reusable services via z/OS Connect EE.
• Develop and maintain COBOL programs and interface logic to enable API exposure.
• Create and maintain API specifications using Swagger/OpenAPI standards.
• Ensure security, performance, and reliability of mainframe APIs through troubleshooting and best practices.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in z/OS mainframe development, including COBOL, JCL, and z/OS utilities.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with IBM z/OS Connect Enterprise Edition.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design, JSON data formats, and API lifecycle management.
• Experience with CICS, IMS, and DB2.
• Knowledge of mainframe security principles such as RACF and TLS/SSL.
