Description

You will build production-grade Java services and AI Agents supporting SAP Sales Cloud V2 functionalities like Visit & Activity Management and Route Planning.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement agentic backends in Java using Spring Boot and Spring AI, including function/tool calling and orchestration.
• Develop and integrate Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools/servers for standardized enterprise system access, enforcing quotas and auditability.
• Engineer event-driven microservices deployed on Kubernetes, ensuring security and compliance.
• Own the CI/CD pipeline, write Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), and mentor peers on design and code quality.
• Integrate services with SAP Sales Cloud V2 and S/4HANA using REST/OData, adhering to SAP Cloud standards.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional experience in backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Java (17+) and Spring Boot (3.x) for designing scalable, event-driven microservices.
• Hands-on experience with AI in Java, including Spring AI or LangChain4j, LLM providers, embeddings, and vector stores.
• Practical application of prompt engineering and LLM evaluation techniques (e.g., golden sets, A/B testing).
• Experience managing infrastructure using Kubernetes/Kyma and message brokers like Kafka.
• Proficiency with REST/OData integrations and implementing caching strategies.
• Knowledge of observability tools such as Micrometer or OpenTelemetry for metrics and tracing.
• Experience implementing secure coding practices using OAuth2/OIDC.
