Description

• 10+ years AWS experience, especially VPC, EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS/EKS, RDS, API Gateway, Glue, and Athena.
• Strong experience building AWS Data Lakes and high-volume data pipelines.
• Hands-on with AWS Glue, Lambda, EMR, Athena, Step Functions, SageMaker, and Flink for data processing.
• Experience with S3, Kinesis, and AWS DMS for data ingestion and storage.
• 7+ years of legacy application modernization, including cloud migration and refactoring.
• Strong Java/J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, and Python development skills.
• Experience with database modernization, migration, and RDBMS technologies.
• Strong DevOps/DevSecOps, IaC, automation, CI/CD, monitoring, and logging experience.
• Knowledge of security, encryption, permissions, data governance, auditing, and compliance.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Power BI/AWS QuickSight, AWS Certification, and State Government experience are a plus.

Main Responsibilities

• Design and develop secure, scalable AWS Data Lake solutions.
• Modernize and migrate legacy applications to the AWS cloud.
• Build and maintain ETL jobs and high-volume data pipelines.
• Develop, test, debug, and troubleshoot applications and AWS solutions.
• Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and recommend modernization strategies.
• Identify technical/architectural risks and provide solutions.
• Follow AWS, security, development, and DevOps best practices.
• Provide technical guidance to developers and communicate with business/IT stakeholders.
