Description

You will manage the health, scalability, and automation of large-scale, internet-facing systems.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Own the overall health, performance, and capacity of internet-facing services.
• Collaborate with development teams from design through production issue resolution.
• Develop procedures for configuration management, monitoring, and scaling.
• Deploy new product features and installations to support continuous growth.
• Champion automation as a core component of managing complex system architectures.

Required Skills

• 10+ years in a Linux-based large-scale web operations role.
• Expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, and Harness.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform.
• Proficiency in Git for version control.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Bash, Perl, or Ruby.
• Experience developing continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
• Experience building and troubleshooting APIs.
• Deep understanding of Linux internals, filesystems, and networking.
• K knowledge of data structures, relational and non-relational databases, and web architecture.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with configuration management tools like Chef.
• Experience with web-based Java/J2EE architectures and JVM configuration.
• Production experience with Map-reduce, Hadoop, Hive, JBOSS, or Tomcat.
