Description

Manage existing third-party financial application infrastructure on AWS, ensuring high availability, security compliance, and rapid vulnerability remediation.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Maintain application stability and performance for third-party financial software (Actimize/Tomcat/Oracle) hosted on AWS.
• Execute vulnerability remediation and patching across OS layers, Docker containers, and application code.
• Manage automated secrets rotation using AWS Secrets Manager and troubleshoot credential lifecycle issues.
• Update Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Chef cookbooks to meet evolving enterprise security policies.
• Monitor system health and troubleshoot production incidents using New Relic and AWS CloudWatch.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience managing AWS infrastructure (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, DMS, ELB, KMS, IAM).
• Proficiency in scripting and debugging with PowerShell and/or Python.
• Hands-on experience maintaining Chef cookbooks and Infrastructure as Code frameworks.
• Strong operational knowledge of vulnerability management, security scanning, and patching.
• Experience troubleshooting production issues using New Relic and AWS CloudWatch logs.
• Proficiency with GitHub for version control and enterprise pull-request workflows.
• Active AWS certifications (Security - Specialty or DevOps Engineer) are required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with financial sector compliance frameworks and enterprise security initiatives.
• Background supporting vendor-provided financial crime or compliance platforms.
