Description

You will manage complex, distributed scientific data infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and debug software enhancements and systems integrations.
• Manage virtualized infrastructure using the VMware suite, including vCenter and vSphere.
• Administer, secure, and develop databases using PostgreSQL, Solr/Lucene, Elasticsearch, AWS RDS, and MongoDB.
• Execute systems engineering tasks related to DevSecOps, network administration, and cyber security.
• Implement approved operations methodologies to ensure efficient use of system resources.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of professional work experience.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, ECS, and EKS.
• Proficiency with web servers including NGINX, Apache, Tomcat, and Traefik.
• Experience managing VMware virtualization environments.
• Knowledge of JavaScript, Dremio, Flask, and GraphQL.
• Experience with Jenkins for CI/CD workflows.
• Understanding of ETL concepts and data load procedures.
• Ability to support AWS cloud hosting services and on-premises data centers.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Development or Solutions Architect certification.
• Database Administration experience.
