Description

You will manage the migration of microservices and monolithic applications to containerized EKS and AKS platforms.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Build automation to consolidate container technologies and migrate microservices from ECS and Kubernetes to EKS/AKS.
• Automate the migration of monolithic Ruby on Rails applications to containerized infrastructure.
• Design and evaluate new tools, techniques, and technologies for the cloud platform.
• Develop software and tools using Terraform, YAML, JavaScript, Ruby, PowerShell, and Bash to expand the operational stack.
• Contribute to the architecture and delivery of the cloud platform.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of professional technical experience.
• 4+ years of scripting or programming experience with Java, Python, Ruby, Bash, PowerShell, JavaScript, or equivalent.
• Experience building and operating scalable CI/CD pipeline infrastructure using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Experience building developer-centric shared services platforms.
• Experience onboarding teams to Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD workflows.
• Experience with cloud hosting on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with configuration management using Terraform, Chef, Puppet, or Ansible.
• Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes, EKS, ECS, or AKS.
• Experience with AWS Controllers for Kubernetes or Crossplane.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Git, branching strategies, and immutable infrastructure.
• Knowledge of OOP, design principles, REST, and unit/integration testing.
