Description

Design and maintain a DevOps platform supporting mainframe application development.

Responsibilities

• Design and integrate a DevOps toolchain including issue tracking, IDE, source code management, CI/CD, test automation, and code analysis.
• Maintain legacy DevOps toolchains based on IBM Engineering Workflow Management or RTC during migration projects.
• Manage the full software lifecycle, including SCM, build, release, and deployment processes.
• Develop scripts in Python, Java, Shell, Rexx, JCL, Ant, and Ansible to automate integration and create custom extensions.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to ensure project delivery.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Platform Engineer or in a role focused on DevOps, mainframe, automation, and CI/CD/CT technologies.
• Proficiency with Git, Jenkins, Harness, or GitHub.
• Strong coding skills in Java and Python.
• Scripting expertise in Shell, Rexx, and JCL.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible.
• Experience using Artifactory.
• Familiarity with mainframe environments, including Unix and MVS file systems, COBOL and PL1 compilers/binder/DB2, and 3270 emulators.
• Ability to explain complex technical tasks to management.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of IBM Developer for z, Rational Team Concert, Dependency Based Build, Wazi Deploy, BMC DevX Code Pipeline, UCD, ISPW, or Topaz.
• Experience with IBM HTTP Server and Websphere Liberty configuration/administration.
• Experience with Eclipse or VSCode, including coding plugins or extensions.
