Description

You will design, develop, and deploy secure APIs using Azure API Management (APIM) and equivalent gateways, managing proxies, policies, and versioning strategies.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Implement API security using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT validation, and IP restrictions.
• Apply APIM policies for transformation, routing, throttling, caching, and error handling.
• Integrate APIs with backend systems including SAP S/4HANA, ERP, and CMS via REST, SOAP, and event-driven patterns.
• Support CI/CD pipelines for APIM using Azure DevOps, ARM/Bicep, and Terraform.
• Produce technical documentation for API specifications, integration flows, and deployment guides.

Required Skills

• 10–12 years of overall integration or middleware experience.
• 8+ years of hands-on Azure API Management (APIM) or API Gateway development.
• Strong proficiency in RESTful API design and OpenAPI (Swagger) specifications.
• Experience with policy-based API development (inbound, outbound, backend, on error).
• Solid understanding of API security standards including OAuth scopes and certificates.
• Experience integrating with enterprise systems such as SAP, ERP, and middleware.
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Git, or GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform) and Azure monitoring tools.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of cloud-native architectures on Microsoft Azure.
• Prior exposure to manufacturing, supply chain, or data-driven programs.
