Description

Role Summary 
Provides engineering ownership across all Drupal build, migration, and post-launch activities. Coordinates closely for environment management, deployments, and production support. 

Key Responsibilities —(Discovery, IA & UX) 
Provide technical feasibility input across all seven Phase 2 milestones. 
Validate Drupal taxonomy design feasibility for Baseline IA. 
Oversee Drupal mockup engineering for Key Page Mockups. 
Provide tech recommendations feasibility for the UX Recommendations report.

 
Key Responsibilities —  (Build, Migration & Launch) 
Own migration engineering across all 500 high-priority pages. 
Oversee redirect engineering and web server configuration with DoIT. 
Lead engineering defect triage during QA and verification. 
Lead performance, load, and security testing. 
Author engineering workflow and runbook documentation. 
Act as production monitoring liaison with DoIT during hyper-care. 

Required Qualifications 
Minimum 8 years of Drupal development experience; Drupal 9 or 10 mandatory. 
Deep experience with content migration (Migrate API, custom migration patterns). 
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation. 
Demonstrated experience coordinating with external platform or hosting teams. 
Experience leading development teams of 4+ engineers.

 
Preferred Qualifications 
Acquia Certified Developer or Acquia Certified Lead. 
Drupal core or contrib module contributor. 
MDWDS or Maryland Drupal Theme experience. 
Maryland DoIT or state agency environment experience. 

Compliance & Standards 
WCAG 2.1 Level AA at the engineering level. 
Security and accessibility automated scanning standards
