Description

You provide engineering ownership for Drupal build, migration, and post-launch activities, coordinating environment management, deployments, and production support.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Own migration engineering for 500 high-priority pages and oversee redirect engineering with DoIT.
• Provide technical feasibility input for IA, UX recommendations, and taxonomy design across project milestones.
• Lead engineering defect triage during QA and verify performance, load, and security testing results.
• Author engineering workflow and runbook documentation, acting as the production monitoring liaison during hyper-care.

Required Skills

• Minimum 8 years of Drupal development experience with mandatory expertise in Drupal 9 or 10.
• Deep experience with content migration using the Migrate API and custom migration patterns.
• Proven track record managing CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Experience leading development teams of 4+ engineers and coordinating with external platform or hosting teams.
• Strong understanding of WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliance and security/accessibility automated scanning standards.

Preferred Skills

• Acquia Certified Developer or Acquia Certified Lead certification.
• Experience contributing to Drupal core or contrib modules.
• Familiarity with MDWDS, Maryland Drupal Theme, or Maryland DoIT/state agency environments.
