Description

You will lead electrical planning, design, and operational services for water and wastewater projects in Madison, WI.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems including power, lighting, instrumentation, and controls to meet code requirements.
• Research and specify commercially available equipment based on project needs and current technologies.
• Coordinate design schedules and technical requirements with process, HVAC, mechanical, and equipment suppliers.
• Calculate project costs and monitor budgets throughout all design phases.
• Conduct periodic site observations and fulfill contract service agreement requirements.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in electrical power and/or SCADA design and construction.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent training.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD MEP and Revit.
• Experience with Microsoft Office programs.
• Knowledge of electrical design within municipal water and wastewater markets.
• Current Wisconsin PE or Designer of Engineering Systems license, or the ability to obtain one within 6 months.
• Understanding of water and wastewater processes from an electrical standpoint.

Preferred Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
