Description

Lead hardware design and development for automotive battery management systems and power electronics.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop PCB and PCBA layouts using Altium for schematic drafting and board layout.
• Perform functional safety analysis, including DFMEA, Worst Case Analysis (WCA/WCCA), and ISO 26262 compliance using DOORS.
• Execute board bring-up, debugging, and troubleshooting of analog and digital circuits.
• Build, test, and validate prototype hardware and deliver completed assemblies.
• Conduct laboratory testing using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, function generators, and signal generators.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in hardware design with at least 5+ years specifically in automotive circuit design.
• Proficiency in Altium for schematic and PCB layout design.
• Experience with Battery Management Systems (BMS) and battery application testing.
• Deep understanding of power electronics, op-amps, and microcontrollers.
• Knowledge of communication protocols including CAN, LIN, SPI, and I2C.
• Hands-on experience with Vector tools for CAN/LIN communication.
• Competency in EMI/EMC analysis and mitigation.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with functional safety standards and DFMEA tools.
