Description

Drive electrical design and development for complex, software-controlled electro-mechanical medical devices.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and rapidly prototype electrical concepts, iterating through the full design lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with Design Control regulations via specification development, risk analysis, and design reviews.
• Write electrical subsystem verification test protocols and reports.
• Develop PCBAs and functional test fixtures, maintaining schematics through formal change orders.
• Support contract manufacturers on PCB assemblies and component supply, and execute EMC test plans.

Required Skills

• 8 to 10 years of experience in circuit design and PCB layout for medical devices.
• BS in Electrical Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with microprocessors, analog/digital circuits, motion control, power supplies, and battery management.
• Proficiency with OrCAD Capture and Allegro PCB Designer.
• Deep understanding of FDA CFR 820 and ISO 13485 regulations.
• Ability to rework PCBAs, including soldering and de-soldering fine pitch components.

Preferred Skills

• LabView experience for functional test fixture development.
• Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering.
