Description

You will design and develop safety- and security-critical embedded software for Industrial Controls, owning processor features and subsystems within an agile framework.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop processor/controller features and subsystems, coordinating with system architects.
• Construct testable requirements in partnership with development, functional test, and system test personnel.
• Design and implement test plans to meet product requirements, promoting automated test engineering practices.
• Work within an agile team using the Scaled Agile Framework, monitoring and improving team velocity and health.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated professional development in software design.
• Extensive knowledge of modern ARM architecture.
• Experience developing software to meet safety and security standards like IEC 61508 or IEC 62443.
• Experience developing device drivers or similar low-level embedded software.
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as Ethernet, USB, or PCI Express.
• Experience developing automated tests and tools using Python.
• In-depth knowledge of software engineering principles and practices.
• Experience working with industrial protocols, especially Common Industrial Protocol (CIP).
