Description

Develop firmware for medical devices in Lake Forest, CA, following IEC 62304 standards.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop firmware using C and C++ with object-oriented design patterns.
• Design and implement multi-threaded applications within RTOS-based environments.
• Manage software risk and author technical software requirements.
• Execute board bring-up and interface with on-chip and off-chip peripherals.
• Debug and troubleshoot designs using lab equipment including oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on embedded software development experience.
• Proficiency in C and C++ targeting embedded microcontrollers.
• Experience with RTOS and multi-threaded application design.
• Working knowledge of CAN and Ethernet protocols.
• Understanding of electronic circuitry and peripheral interfacing (SPI, UART, I2C, ADCs, DACs).
• Experience with static analysis, unit testing, and continuous integration (CI).
• Proficiency with GitHub.

Preferred Skills

• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Experience working in virtual, remote, and asynchronous environments.
