Description

Define and develop test automation to improve efficiency and test coverage for low power, high reliability industrial process control devices.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Write manual and automated test procedures for product features and maintain test infrastructure.
• Log, track, and investigate defects to determine root cause and enhance automated test systems.
• Create and maintain a backlog of work items within an Agile environment.
• Collaborate with Firmware, Electrical, and Mechanical teams to facilitate a cohesive group environment.
• Perform project and product documentation in accordance with departmental standards.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of Embedded Development and/or Embedded Test Development experience.
• Expertise in C# with working knowledge of C/C++.
• Understanding of software test methodologies: regression, functional, unit, black box, and white box testing.
• Basic understanding of electrical schematics, circuit analysis, and mechanical/pneumatic/electronic systems.
• Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with distributed version control (Mercurial, Git) and Continuous Integration tools (TeamCity, Jenkins).
• Familiarity with ARM embedded processor platforms and test equipment (National Instruments).
• Knowledge of industrial protocols (HART, Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus, Modbus) and Agile Methodologies.
