Description

You will design, develop, and deploy API proxies on the Apigee platform while managing infrastructure automation and team mentorship.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy API proxies, implementing policies for OAuth, JWT, Spike Arrest, Quota, Caching, and Transformation.
• Manage and configure Apigee Edge, Apigee X, or Apigee Hybrid environments, including on-premises setups.
• Automate infrastructure configuration and deployment using Terraform and Chef or Ansible.
• Monitor and troubleshoot API gateway infrastructure issues, providing direct solutions to customers.
• Mentor team members on Apigee usage and infrastructure automation best practices.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Apigee API Management (Edge, X, or Hybrid).
• 5+ years of Java development experience, specifically with RESTful APIs and Spring Boot.
• 3+ years in DevOps/infrastructure engineering managing Apigee on-prem, hybrid, or cloud.
• Expertise in configuration management tools like Chef and Ansible, with strong scripting in Shell, Python, or Ruby.
• Hands-on experience with Git, Jenkins, and GitOps workflows.
• Proficiency with container orchestration, including Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of API policies: OAuth, JWT, Spike Arrest, Quota, and Caching.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk.
