Description

You will own the operational health and performance of large-scale Snowflake data platforms.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Monitor platform health metrics including warehouses, query queues, credits, storage, and load jobs, responding to alerts within SLAs.
• Triage, resolve, and document incidents related to warehouse queueing, failed tasks, user access, timeouts, and connector failures.
• Execute standard runbooks for warehouse scaling, resume/suspend operations, failover checks, credential rotation, and service user maintenance.
• Configure security and compliance activities, including authentication policies, key rotation, RBAC reviews, and segregation-of-duties controls.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Snowflake DBA managing large-scale environments with petabyte-scale data and multi-account setups.
• Proficiency in Snowflake, Database Administration, Performance Monitoring, and Security Management.
• Strong SQL skills for querying and debugging data platform issues.
• Experience with Python and Terraform for automation and infrastructure management.
• Background in Data Engineering and Cloud Computing concepts.
• Experience in L2 incident response and L3 problem management.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with Platform, Security, and Monitoring teams.
