Description

Define middleware architecture and technical roadmap for embedded communication and integration.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and integration of backend/embedded APIs and serialization formats.
• Perform performance tuning, profiling, and reliability improvements across system and middleware components.
• Debug complex issues using gdb and platform tooling; conduct root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to mentor engineers and review designs and code.

Required Skills

• 8-15 years of relevant embedded middleware, systems, and integration experience.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and Python with solid OOP and data structures fundamentals.
• Deep experience with Linux kernel internals and system programming for embedded platforms.
• Hands-on knowledge of RTOS concepts and IPC techniques (sockets, message queues, FIFO/pipes, shared memory).
• Experience building and debugging APIs using RESTful APIs and gRPC, including JSON/protobuf/XML serialization.
• Experience with bootloaders, interrupt handlers, and low-level debugging using gdb.

Preferred Skills

• Device driver development and familiarity with networking protocols and hardware interaction.
• Experience with data transfer decoding between user and kernel space for application/system-level control.
