Description

You will build scalable data systems on Google Cloud Platform, providing technical leadership and owning the full software development lifecycle.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discussions and guide the team in engineering best practices.
• Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software for databases, applications, and tools.
• Balance production platform stability with feature delivery and technical debt reduction.
• Establish project management frameworks to deliver high-quality software in rapid iterations.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the definition, integration, and testing of software.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Proficiency in Python or Scala.
• Hands-on experience with GCP, Hadoop, and Spark.
• Experience with Kafka and Pub/Sub streaming.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and database schema design.
• Experience with Dataflow, Dataproc, and distributed data platforms or data lakes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to design Looker views and models.

Preferred Skills

• Practical understanding of Machine Learning and statistical models.
• Strong structured thinking and problem-solving skills.
