Description

Senior Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale data solutions on Google Cloud Platform. You will own the end-to-end delivery of big data architectures, from initial design through SDLC to production stability.

Responsibilities

• Implement new projects on GCP using Spark, Dataproc, Dataflow, BigQuery, and Terraform across the full SDLC lifecycle.
• Support the migration of existing functionalities and applications to Google Cloud.
• Ensure the stability and reliability of the application landscape and assist with software release cycles.
• Provide L3 support and contribute to overall application governance.
• Participate in hands-on coding within an agile environment using Java, Scala, and Spring Boot.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of overall IT experience with extensive expertise in GCP and big data architectures.
• Strong experience working with Spark, BigQuery, Dataproc, and Dataflow.
• Proven background designing and implementing end-to-end solutions on GCP.
• Hands-on experience in coding using Java, Scala, and frameworks like Spring Boot.
• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Strong understanding of SDLC processes within agile environments.
• Experience supporting production systems, handling L3 escalations, and ensuring application stability.
• Practical understanding of Data Mesh, integration patterns, and data engineering principles.
• Experience working with large-scale distributed systems and big data architectures.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
