Senior Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale data solutions on Google Cloud Platform.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of big data architectures from design through SDLC to production stability.
• Implement new projects on GCP using Spark, Dataproc, Dataflow, BigQuery, and Terraform.
• Support migration of existing functionalities and applications to Google Cloud.
• Ensure application landscape stability and assist with software release cycles.
• Provide L3 support and contribute to overall application governance.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of overall IT experience with extensive expertise in GCP.
• Strong experience with Spark, BigQuery, Dataproc, and Dataflow.
• Proven background designing and implementing end-to-end solutions on GCP.
• Hands-on coding experience in Java, Scala, and Spring Boot.
• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Strong understanding of SDLC processes within agile environments.
• Experience supporting production systems and handling L3 escalations.
• Practical understanding of Data Mesh, integration patterns, and data engineering principles.
• Experience working with large-scale distributed systems.
