Description

You will design, develop, and maintain highly scalable backend services and APIs using Python.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage Kafka-based messaging systems for high-throughput, low-latency, distributed event-driven architectures.
• Develop cloud-native applications and services on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Optimize Kafka configurations, including topic design, partitioning, and consumer group management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across backend services and Kafka message processing.
• Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and drive software design best practices.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of professional backend development experience with production-grade Python systems.
• Deep understanding of Kafka, including high-scale production environment experience.
• Experience designing and deploying cloud-native applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficiency with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience implementing microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and automated testing practices.
• Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams and setting technical direction.
• Knowledge of security best practices for backend services and data protection.
