Description

You will design, develop, and maintain highly scalable backend services and APIs using Python, managing Kafka-based messaging systems for high-throughput, low-latency event-driven architectures. You will lead optimization efforts for Kafka configurations, including topic design, partitioning, and consumer group management, while developing cloud-native applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP. You will mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and drive best practices for software design, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud architecture to ensure maintainability, extensibility, and security. You will troubleshoot production issues, implement automated testing frameworks, and contribute to architectural decision-making within an agile lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Python.
• Manage and optimize Kafka clusters for high-scale, distributed event processing.
• Deploy and maintain cloud-native applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Lead technical mentorship, code reviews, and CI/CD pipeline improvements.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement automated testing strategies.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of professional backend development experience with Python.
• Deep understanding of Kafka, including message processing and schema management.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred, Azure, or GCP).
• Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and automated testing.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with serverless or edge computing technologies.
• Open-source contributions or a strong GitHub portfolio.
