Description

Own the design, development, and maintenance of highly scalable backend services and APIs using Python.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-throughput, low-latency distributed event-driven architectures using Kafka.
• Develop cloud-native applications and services on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Optimize Kafka configurations for performance, including topic design, partitioning, and consumer group management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to backend services and message processing.
• Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and drive best practices for CI/CD and software design.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong experience with Python in building production-grade systems.
• Deep understanding of Kafka and experience working with Kafka in a high-scale production environment.
• Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-native applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficient in containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and automated testing practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with serverless computing or edge computing technologies.
• Contributions to open-source projects or a strong GitHub portfolio.
