Description

You will serve as the substation structural engineering lead, managing multiple large-scale and complex projects from assessment through execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil and structural engineering analysis, including calculations, foundation design, structural member design, and building design.
• Oversee the development of substation capital projects, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality requirements.
• Review and stamp engineering drawings and provide CAD-supported drafting and detailing.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical training sessions to enhance organizational capabilities.
• Perform site visits for construction support, inspections, and data gathering throughout the service territory.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (SE) license from the State of California.
• Minimum of five years of experience in structural consulting engineering.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or other computer-based design programs.
• Competency in Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Valid Class C Driver's License for travel to client sites.

Preferred Skills

• Five years of technical design experience specifically with electrical substation projects.
• Experience applying codes and standards such as ASCE 7, ACI 318, CBC, AISC 360, NDS, IEEE 693, and ASCE 113.
• Three years of experience modifying engineering drawings using computer-aided drafting.
