Description

You will own the enterprise API and integration architecture, covering intake, triage, prioritization, and execution. You design, define, and enforce API contract standards across REST and event-driven architectures.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and enforce enterprise API contract standards for REST and event-driven systems.
• Configure and optimize API gateways such as Gravitee, Apigee, or MuleSoft.
• Build event streaming solutions using AWS MSK or Kafka and support integrations via Workato.
• Implement secure integration boundaries, tokenization for PII/NPI, and governance standards.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership and pragmatic architectural guidance to engineering teams.

Required Skills

• 5+ years designing enterprise API ecosystems and integration architectures.
• Deep expertise in REST APIs, API contract design, and event-driven architectures.
• Strong experience with API gateway technologies, including policy management and access control.
• Hands-on experience with Gravitee, Apigee, MuleSoft, or comparable API management platforms.
• Proficiency with Workato or similar iPaaS/orchestration tools.
• Strong knowledge of OAuth2 and OpenID Connect authentication standards.
• Experience implementing tokenization and sensitive data protection (e.g., Protegrity, TokenEx).
• Hands-on experience building event-driven integrations using Kafka or AWS MSK.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Temporal or similar workflow orchestration platforms.
• Familiarity with Master Data Management (MDM) concepts and enterprise canonical data models.
