Description

You will lead the design and implementation of SCADA systems for manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain Ignition MES solutions for production tracking, genealogy, traceability, downtime, SPC, and OEE.
• Establish data collection and integration from PLCs, sensors, HMIs, and machines across the shopfloor.
• Develop connectivity bridges between on-prem Ignition and Azure cloud services.
• Enable barcode, RFID, and QR-based tracking systems integrated with MES for genealogy and WIP traceability.
• Apply ISA-95 and ISA-88 standards to structure MES architectures and process control models.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in industrial automation and SCADA systems.
• Expertise with Ignition SCADA (Gateway configuration, Tag Historian, Perspective, MQTT modules).
• Experience integrating PLCs using Siemens, Rockwell, Modbus, OPC UA/DA.
• Proficiency in Azure IoT Hub, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, and Azure Functions.
• Strong command of scripting languages such as Python and JavaScript.
• Experience with SQL Server, MySQL, and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with industrial networking concepts including VLANs and Firewalls.

Preferred Skills

• Ignition Core or Gold Certification.
• Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or Azure IoT certification.
