Description

You will design and implement features for RabbitMQ, contributing to existing capabilities including Classic Queues, Quorum Queues, and Streams.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable producer and consumer applications using Erlang, Java, Go, Python, or Node.js.
• Configure and manage RabbitMQ clusters, federation, and shovels to support distributed messaging needs.
• Optimize message throughput, latency, queue performance, and reliability across production workloads.
• Implement high availability strategies using clustering, queue mirroring, and quorum queues.
• Debug distributed systems and ensure code meets security, compliance, and operational standards.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in distributed messaging systems and event-driven architecture.
• Strong hands-on experience with RabbitMQ administration, configuration, and optimization.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language: Go, Java, Python, or Node.js.
• Deep understanding of producers, consumers, queues, exchanges, and bindings.
• Experience in building scalable producer-consumer applications with correct delivery semantics.
• Knowledge of RabbitMQ clustering, federation, and high availability setups.
• Understanding of Classic, Quorum, and Stream Queues in RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with routing patterns (direct, topic, fanout, headers) and message prefetch.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in tuning message throughput and latency in production systems.
• Strong skills in debugging distributed systems and analyzing logs for root cause analysis.
