Description

You own the design, development, and maintenance of highly scalable backend services and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage Kafka-based messaging systems for high-throughput, low-latency, event-driven architectures.
• Develop cloud-native applications and services using AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Lead Kafka performance optimization, including topic design, partitioning, and consumer group management.
• Conduct code reviews, drive design discussions, and ensure adherence to software design and CI/CD best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across backend services and Kafka message processing.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python for building production-grade systems.
• Deep understanding of Kafka in a high-scale production environment.
• Experience designing and deploying cloud-native applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Experience implementing microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and automated testing practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams and setting technical direction.
• Knowledge of security best practices for backend services and data protection.
