Description

Lead the technical and architectural aspects of a multi-year Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES) modernization, migrating core systems to Microsoft Azure Government Cloud while ensuring compliance with CMS MITA and SMC standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the MES technical representative, ensuring adherence to CMS standards.
• Guide PMO efforts to maintain the MES Technical Reference Architecture (TRA) and develop technical policies.
• Chair the Enterprise Architecture Board (EAB) and Technical Review Board (TRB), overseeing governance decisions.
• Review and approve contractor deliverables, design documents, and change requests for risk mitigation.
• Participate in planning, procurement (RFP/RFB), design, and testing for MES modernization.

Required Skills

• 8–10 years of IT architecture experience (cloud, CRM, database, enterprise, or solutions architecture).
• 3–5 years of enterprise architecture experience, including framework design (Business, Technical, and Information Architecture).
• Proven experience operating in large, multi-vendor environments with senior stakeholder collaboration.
• Advanced proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
• Experience with Cloud, CRM, Database, Solutions Architecture, and Information Architecture.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or 9+ years equivalent experience.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
