Description

Lead the technical and architectural strategy for a multi-year Medicaid Enterprise Systems modernization, migrating core systems to Microsoft Azure Government Cloud.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary MES technical representative, ensuring strict adherence to CMS MITA and SMC standards.
• Guide the PMO in maintaining the MES Technical Reference Architecture and developing technical policies.
• Chair the Enterprise Architecture Board and Technical Review Board to oversee governance decisions.
• Review and approve contractor deliverables, design documents, and change requests to mitigate risk.
• Participate in planning, procurement, design, and testing phases for MES modernization.

Required Skills

• 8–10 years of IT architecture experience covering cloud, CRM, database, or solutions architecture.
• 3–5 years of enterprise architecture experience, including Business, Technical, and Information Architecture framework design.
• Proven experience operating in large, multi-vendor environments with senior stakeholder collaboration.
• Advanced proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
• Experience with Cloud, CRM, Database, Solutions Architecture, and Information Architecture.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 9+ years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
