Description

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Architecture & Modernization
 

  • Develop, publish, and maintain enterprise application and integration architecture standards.
  • Define reusable architecture patterns for microservices, APIs, event-driven architecture, and containerized applications.
  • Create and maintain reference architectures to ensure consistency across engineering teams.
  • Support solution architects and development teams in implementing enterprise architecture standards.


 

Application Modernization
 

  • Design and execute modernization strategies for legacy applications, including rehosting, replatforming, refactoring, and retirement.
  • Architect cloud-native and hybrid solutions across AWS and Azure environments.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams during solution design, proof-of-concepts, and implementation phases.
  • Develop modernization roadmaps, domain-driven designs, and service decomposition strategies.


 

Cloud Architecture & Platform Engineering
 

  • Design and enhance cloud landing zones and governance frameworks.
  • Define cloud infrastructure, integration, API, and data architecture patterns.
  • Support hybrid cloud integrations across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments where applicable.
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging cloud technologies, AI capabilities, DevSecOps practices, automation tools, and observability platforms.


 

Application Portfolio Management
 

  • Conduct application portfolio assessments using industry-standard frameworks such as TIME and 6R.
  • Identify opportunities for application consolidation, migration, modernization, and retirement.
  • Partner with ServiceNow APM and CMDB teams to maintain accurate application inventory and lifecycle information.
  • Develop architecture metrics, dashboards, and modernization reporting.


 

Technical Debt Management
 

  • Assess and monitor technical debt across enterprise applications.
  • Recommend remediation strategies aligned with business priorities and modernization objectives.
  • Ensure target-state architecture alignment throughout modernization initiatives.


 

Infrastructure as Code & DevOps
 

  • Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates, or Pulumi.
  • Design and support CI/CD pipeline architectures using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement automation and configuration management using Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.


 

Security & Cloud Governance
 

  • Implement cloud security best practices, including IAM, RBAC, Key Vault, network security, and identity management.
  • Ensure compliance with CIS, NIST, ISO 27001, and organizational security standards.
  • Support cloud cost optimization initiatives using Azure Advisor, FinOps principles, and governance best practices.


 

Cross-Functional Collaboration
 

  • Partner with engineering, infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, finance, procurement, and business teams.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Participate in enterprise architecture reviews, cloud strategy sessions, and solution design workshops.


 

Required Qualifications:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, or Cloud Architecture.
  • Strong expertise in application modernization, cloud migration, and enterprise transformation initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience designing solutions across AWS, Azure, and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies, including Kubernetes, containerization, microservices, APIs, and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates, or Pulumi).
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab.
  • Knowledge of DevOps automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Experience with application portfolio management, technical debt analysis, and modernization frameworks (TIME, 6R).
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security, governance, IAM, RBAC, and compliance frameworks including NIST, CIS, and ISO 27001.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.


 

Preferred Qualifications
 

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional/Expert)
  • TOGAF Certification
  • ITIL Certification
  • Experience with ServiceNow APM and CMDB
  • Experience with Azure Landing Zones and FinOps practices
  • Exposure to GCP and multi-cloud architectures
