Description

Lead QA strategy and end-to-end testing for ETL, Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and BI reporting applications.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and user stories to define project scope, effort estimation, and QA strategy.
• Develop and maintain test plans, manual scripts, and automated test scripts for functional, black box, system, integration, and regression testing.
• Write and execute SQL test scripts to perform data validation across complex environments.
• Conduct root cause analysis, publish RCA reports, and suggest preventive measures to improve quality.
• Participate in ETL technical reviews to ensure adherence to design standards.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in testing environments.
• Strong expertise in SQL and query languages for data validation.
• Proven experience with Ab Initio code and ETL processes.
• Deep understanding of SDLC models, specifically Agile and Waterfall.
• Experience with Functional Testing and Black Box Testing methodologies.
• Proficiency in testing tools including Ab Initio (GDE), MDH, and Cognos.
• Hands-on experience with IBM DB2, TOAD, and Unix AIX.
• Competency in defect tracking and management tools such as JIRA, IBM Clearquest, and HP ALM.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Control-M scheduling and Rally project management.
• Background in both front-end and back-end testing processes.
