6-10+ years of experience in ETL Testing / Data Testing

Strong expertise in SQL and data validation

Informatica PowerCenter and IDMC (Informatica Data Management Cloud)

Oracle / PL/SQL

Shell Scripting

Autosys / batch job scheduling

Data Warehousing concepts and architectures

ETL/ELT and Data Transformation

Data Quality and Data Reconciliation

Exposure to Hive / HiveQL / HDFS

Knowledge of Kafka

Experience with JIRA, HP ALM, or Octane

Roles & Responsibilities

Analyze data mapping documents and business requirements to design comprehensive test plans and test cases.

Perform source-to-target data reconciliation and validate data loading and transformation rules.

Write complex SQL queries/scripts to validate:

Data counts

Data completeness

Data consistency

Data truncation

Data accuracy

Validate ETL pipelines and data transformation processes across source and target systems.

Identify, document, and track data defects using JIRA, HP ALM, or Octane.

Automate test scripts where applicable and validate data volume, performance, and scalability.

Perform data analysis and troubleshoot ETL/data quality issues.

Validate HiveQL queries, HDFS file structures, and data processing within Hadoop environments.

Test metadata-dependent ETL processes and batch/job frameworks.

Work closely with developers, business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to resolve data issues.

Ensure data quality and accuracy throughout the ETL/ELT lifecycle.

Develop and execute test scenarios covering complex data transformations and business rules.

Participate in defect triage, root-cause analysis, and resolution validation.
