Description

You will design, build, and maintain data warehouse and BI applications, spanning ETL development, reporting, and dashboard creation. You will operate effectively across the full spectrum of data engineering and business intelligence tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize ETL pipelines and data marts using SQL and Teradata Studio.
• Design and implement BI applications, dashboards, and analytical solutions.
• Collaborate with data modelers to translate logical designs into physical schemas optimized for reporting performance.
• Define technical requirements, assess impact of changes, and manage risk for existing IT solutions.
• Lead code development efforts, review test plans, and ensure proper change management for production systems.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience creating Data Warehouse and BI applications.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Teradata Studio.
• Hands-on experience with ETL/data mart development and reporting tools.
• Proven ability to work in a cross-functional capacity between ETL and BI domains.
• Experience with Snowflake and Databricks.
• Background in Child Welfare Services, Juvenile Justice, or related public sector domains.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical study.
• Ability to work independently, communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and manage project metrics.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with State of Michigan PMM/SUITE/Agile methodology.
• End-user training and facilitation experience.
