Description

Lead a small engineering team in designing and developing embedded software, device drivers, and low-level systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day technical activities for a small engineering team.
• Design and develop embedded software using C and C++.
• Develop device drivers for bare metal, RTOS, and Linux environments.
• Apply ARM and Intel architecture knowledge to embedded systems.
• Debug hardware and software issues using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and board schematics.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in C and C++ within embedded environments.
• Hands-on experience with RTOS and Linux development.
• Knowledge of ARM and Intel architectures and associated toolchains.
• Competency in communication protocols: SPI, UART, I2C, Ethernet, USB, or PCI Express.
• Ability to read traces, use an oscilloscope, and review board schematics.
• Degree or advanced coursework in software engineering, embedded systems, operating systems, or computer architecture.

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing software to meet IEC 61508 or IEC 62443 safety and security standards.
• Software development using Python.
• Experience with embedded Hypervisors and basic cryptography principles.
