Description

You will design and develop embedded software for vehicle data collection, monitoring, and control systems. You own the full development lifecycle from initial design concepts to software release and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Develop software requirements, embedded code, and test documentation for real-time systems.
• Lead development projects and mentor associate engineers or contract employees.
• Debug embedded systems using oscilloscopes, network analyzers, emulators, and CAN bus tools.
• Coordinate with manufacturing and suppliers to resolve specification issues and accommodate production limitations.
• Perform root cause analysis to support Service and QA departments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software and hardware electronics related to vehicle data and controls.
• Proficiency in C and C++ for embedded platforms.
• Experience with commercial RTOS and multi-thread real-time systems.
• Strong knowledge of communication protocols including CAN, J1939, and TCP/IP.
• Experience with Linux-based embedded software development.
• Hands-on experience with micro-controllers and embedded debugging tools.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred Skills

• Off-highway domain experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, engines, and drive systems.
