Description

You will lead technical activities for a small engineering team and develop low-level software for embedded environments.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day technical activities for a small team of engineers.
• Design and develop software using object-oriented analysis and programming techniques.
• Develop device drivers and low-level embedded software.
• Implement software across bare metal, RTOS, or Linux environments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in C and C++ within embedded or software application environments.
• Experience with real-time embedded development and ARM or Intel architectures.
• Ability to use compilers and toolchains targeting ARM and Intel processors.
• Hands-on experience reading traces, using an oscilloscope, and reviewing board schematics.
• Knowledge of RTOS and Linux.
• Ability to apply object-oriented design principles in C++.

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing software to meet IEC 61508 or IEC 62443 safety and security standards.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting.
• Knowledge of communication protocols including SPI, UART, I2C, Ethernet, USB, or PCI Express.
